Chingchai Wanidworanun, MD, PLLC
We provide primary medical care to the full range of internal medicine with a special interest in HIV and travel medicine with offices in Arlington VA and Silver Spring MD.
Practice ScopeInternal medicine covers most medical problems in adults except those requiring surgery.
Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Chingchai Wanidworanun, MD, PhD (Dr. Wanid) will listen to your description of your medical problems, examine you, do and order tests, and then diagnose, treat, or refer you to a medical specialist as needed.
Thorough care is made possible by Dr. Wanid's training which includes doctoral degrees in both clinical care (MD) and biomedical research (PhD). Certification by the American Board of Internal Medicine was granted following residency training and a rigorous exam and is maintained each year by Continuing Medical Education (CME). Travel medicine is NOT within the scope of our internal medicine practice. You can obtain vaccinations and other travel-related medical services through our affiliated business, Courthouse Travel Clinic PLLC.
Practice PhilosophyCare is provided to all adults without regard to race, ethnic origin, age, gender or sexual orientation. Dr. Wanid married his husband of 25 years in 2008 and is particularly proud to serve patients who identify themselves as lesbian, gay, bisexual or trans.
Patients with disabilities should alert the staff when making an appointment of any accommodations that might be required.
Patients are provided with a clean, calm and efficient clinical environment. The doctor and his staff work hard to deliver respect, privacy and high quality care to each patient in a dignified environment.
LBGT patients may find that "gay identity" touches on health issues which go beyond sexually transmitted disease" (STD) checks and care or safer sex discussions but also touch on overall health issues including depression, sexuality and aging, weight control, and prostate and other urogenital health issues not directly connected to sex or sexuality. Caring and confidential counseling on the medical aspects of these concerns is a particular focus of our practice.
